<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div>Hope Community Services is our Hope International partner agency in Ethiopia.\u00a0<\/h3>\nHere\u2019s a message from HCS director Gabe Beyene:<\/h4>\n<\/div>Armed conflict in Ethiopia\u2019s Tigray region has uprooted millions of people; hundreds of thousands are living in famine conditions. Hope Community Services is on the ground, working with partners to treat children suffering from severe acute malnutrition, deliver safe water and other critical supplies to those in need and restore essential services.\u00a0 Many have lost their parents and many more have been separated.\u00a0\u00a0Please help.<\/b><\/p>\n
\u201cI am a native of Ethiopia who has\u00a0 lived in New York City for 16 years. Now I have returned to Ethiopia to minister to the people of Tigrai and share the Good News of Jesus Christ with them in their native language.\u00a0 In my experience, the homeless of New York City are far more prosperous than so many in Tigrai. We are all burdened as humans, even as our burdens are different from one another\u2019s. It is only by giving these burdens to God, that we find respite. <\/div>Empower Women \u2013 Empower a Nation<\/h2><\/div><\/div>Young women with no opportunity for education are usually forced to marry at a very young age and to become vulnerable and impoverished with little chance to succeed. Hope Community Services is changing the chances of young women through opportunities for education.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>Hope From the Ashes<\/h2><\/div><\/div>Young men caught in poverty and without opportunity are often caught in addiction to drugs. Hope Community Services provides immensely successful training and restoration for hundreds of young men.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
